Our season
begins with greenhouse
sales. We carry a wide selection of annuals, perennials, vegetable
plants and herbs. We are always happy to help you decide which plants
would work for you.
Inside
our store you can enjoy an ice cream cone. The ice cream is from Babcock Hall on the UW-Madison
campus.
As
our season really kicks into gear you will find early season produce such as
strawberries, peas, lettuce, rhubarb, and asparagus.
By
mid-summer our new raised-bed gardens are in full bloom. Planted for your
enjoyment and education, the beds contain a wide variety of culinary herbs and
vegetable plants. This is a great place to stroll or sit while enjoying
ice cream, donuts, or another of our homemade treats.
Once
the 4th of July rolls around our produce shelves become filled with locally
grown fruits and vegetables. At various times you will find such things as
sweet corn, tomatoes, garlic, onions, green beans, raspberries, or wild
blackberries. For a schedule of when these items are generally available
check out our What's In Season page.
By
early September you can find a full array of fall decorations, edible squash,
and gourds. We go all out decorating our store with corn shocks, pumpkins,
indian corn, and straw bales. We like to include a selection of silly
decorated pumpkins for sale as well.
