Market garden
Over the years, our farming efforts have evolved from a time when we worked nearly 39 acres down to the current day where we grow our crops on about 3/4 of an acre. We have focused our efforts on cultivating crops like tomatoes, peppers, melons, zucchini, cucumbers, winter squash and gourds. These crops are grown in a garden on the property using a combination of water saving methods that includes photo-degradable plastic mulch and straw mulch. Pesticide and herbicide use is kept to a minimum under this system and the crops are picked fresh on a daily basis.
In addition to the crops grown by the market, we also have eight 400-foot rows of asparagus and 12 rows of raspberries, all of which have never been treated with any chemicals.
