About Us

Wisconsin Territories Farm Market is a small, family-run roadside market owned and operated by Mark and Kate Zdroik.  It is located 2 miles east of Rosholt, Wisconsin at the intersection of Hwy. 49 & 66.  Rosholt is in the central part of the state, 18 miles northeast of Stevens Point.  Currently, the farm market is open daily from May until the end of October.

Originally Mark's parents, Maynard and Mary Jane Zdroik, began a roadside farm market by their home in 1993.  They had previously run a 20 acre pick-you-own strawberry patch in the 1960's & early '70's.  After Maynard retired from potato farming, in the '90's, he and Mary Jane got back in the small farm market business by opening the on-farm market.

In 1997 Maynard and Mary Jane decided they no longer wanted to be tied to the daily home market and they allowed us to take over.  After three years of growth and planning we were able to construct a new, larger farm market 1/2 mile away on land that we had purchased in 1997.

The new market was designed and built in the spring of 2000.  In this new market we were able to add a licensed kitchen, additional sales space, an ice cream counter (Mark's passion) and tables, a bathroom, office, work area and storage.  Additionally we constructed a greenhouse and a raised-bed herb garden (Kate's passion).

In 1994 we began growing produce and attending farm markets across the state-from Crandon to Neenah to West Allis.  Though we were both raised on farms, this was a learning process.  Gradually, we picked up the keys to successful farm marketing.

Building a new store has been a goal of ours for a few years.  After battling some of life's ups and downs, we are thrilled to have opened our market "on the hill."  From this building and location we hope to add to our homemade food selection and share our knowledge through classes and festivals for adults and school children.

Open Daily May - October
