Herbal Offerings


About five years ago we became interested in growing, learning about, and using culinary herbs.  With the exception of a few herbs, we grow our herb plants from seeds and/or cuttings.  We (more specifically Kate) have been growing and selling herbs for five years and have herb beds on the grounds so we can offer our own knowledge on how to grow and harvest these herbs. 
Each year we try to add new plants to our selection and expand our herb beds.  

Recently Kate began making herbal wine vinegars and created some dried herb mixes for baking or cooking.  In the future we hope to host cooking classes in our store using our very own fresh herbs.

Beginning in the spring of 2001, Kate will hold tours of the greenhouse and raised bed garden to discuss the various herbs we sell and grow, including their popular uses and hints on growing them.

These make a great substitute for salt in recipes and/or blend well for dips and sauces.

Since the herbal vinegars are new items, we have a limited supply.  We may not be able to fill large orders unless they are placed before September so we can make more (vinegars made in September would be ready approx. 4 weeks after order is placed.)
